Trophy Centre Console — Storm Damage Toe-Rail Rebuild, Weymouth & Portland
Before & after

BeforeAfterThe job
This Trophy centre console took a battering at its winter marina berth, with storm damage cracking and holing the toe-rail along one side and chipping the gelcoat around a deck cleat. The rail had been ground back to bare, exposed fibreglass in places — not a quick cosmetic fix.
The damaged sections were ground back to sound laminate, rebuilt in fresh GRP and faired through progressively finer grades until the profile matched the original rail. Once faired, the repair was masked up and finished in colour-matched gelcoat, then cut and polished to a full gloss.
The result is a toe-rail that's back to full strength and finished as if the storm had never touched it — proof that even serious structural damage can be brought back to showroom condition with the right repair.
