Bathing Platform GRP Repair & Valet, Weymouth

This sports cruiser came in with impact damage to the bathing platform and swim platform mouldings, along with cracked and crazed gelcoat and general staining across the topsides and foredeck.

Once the damage was assessed and the affected areas masked off, the cracked sections were ground back to sound laminate and the structural damage rebuilt with fresh fibreglass. The repairs were then filled, faired and worked back through progressively finer grades until the profile matched the original mouldings.

A colour-matched gelcoat was applied, cured, then cut and polished to blend seamlessly into the surrounding surfaces. To finish, the whole boat was given a full valet, lifting the heavy algae and staining from the bow and decks to leave a clean, high-gloss finish throughout.
