Keelboat Gunwale & Transom Repair, Weymouth

This racing keelboat had sustained damage along the gunwale and a cracked, chipped corner to the transom.

The damaged section of the sheerline was ground right back to bare laminate, exposing the underlying glass so the repair could be built up from sound material rather than simply skimmed over. The area was then filled, faired and refined along the length of the gunwale until the line ran true again, with the transom corner rebuilt to match.

Once prepped, the repair was gelcoated, cut back and polished to a full gloss, restoring the topside to a clean, fair finish ready to go back on the water.
